What did the DxO tech suggest to resolve the issue? It does seem weird that they updated the user interface to Viveza and Silver Effects, but none of the other plugins.

I am running the latest version of Windows 10 and the latest versions of Lightroom and Photoshop. None of the reported problems occur for me either.

This is even after I followed the instructions from DXO tech on how to resolve the issue. I get the "disk is full" message on both. Silver Efex3 and Viveza 3 do not work in PS. the filters work for me on Win10 and LrC. Also verified no problem when using in Ps. None of the reported problems occur for me - using LrC and W10. Now Viveza plugin won't play - it says "disk is full" which is hogwash. I uninstalled and re-installed Nik Collection 4. I guess it's nice to know that the problems are across platforms, as I'm running Windows 10. Viveza and the other plugins work just fine. Does anyone have the same issue? I'm on a Mac. I downloaded it and the Perspective Efex plugin crashes as soon as it is launched via Photoshop. Third, when I try to open the new version of Silver FX it won't, saying first that it "isn't available", and then when I try it again that it can't complete the command because the "disk is full". Second, when I registered it, it crashed PS. Mistake!įirst, the freakin' menu takes up 40% of the screen on my 4k Dell laptop.

It has a several features I was interested in, so I grabbed it and installed it.

DXO just announced an update to Nik Collection. We have been looking at those issues and hope to haver a fix for the Mac App Store version in an upcoming (not necessarily the next) update. The difference between the two is that the Mac App Store version runs in a sandboxed environment (so with more strictly restrictions) than the one we sell through the Affinity Store. The Nik installer will create a new folder named/labelled DxO inside the folder you created - this is wher e all plugin files will be placed - and its the folder you have to browse to/add to the Plugin Search Folder section in Affinity Photo Photoshop Plugins Preferences. Then, when you click the " +" button (as in the 0:40s in the video) point it to that folder you just created and continue following the rest of the instructions in the video.

James has created it on his desktop and called it Plugins but I advise you to create the folder inside the Applications folder on your Mac and call it Photoshop Plugins (or whatever you see fit). This folder must be created manually by you.

Pay attention to the section that starts at 0:40s where James click the " + " button to add a custom folder to where install the plugin files. Your Photoshop Plugins config in Preferences show you are pointing to the standalone versions of the plugins - not to the plugin files themselves. There's a step during the installation where you have to manually create a folder where to install the plugin files - i believe you missed it.
